Acts 4

(3) They seized Peter and John and, because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day.
They understood that the salvation of peoples if not one man was so important that they were willing to risk their materialistic comforts.
If your courage to witness for God has weakened, pray that your boldness may increase. Remember Jesus promise, "Whoever acknowledges me before others, i will also acknowledge before my Father in Heaven" - Mathew 10:32

(12) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
As Christians, we are to be open minded on many issues, but not on how we are saved from sin. Neither saints nor good deeds can save us from our sinful nature.

(24-30)
True Christians will understand that praying for the courage and perseverance to continually praise God through trials and tribulations is more important than asking for a peaceful troublesome-free lifestyle.
