6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
I'm very self reliant and am not sensitive to the gospel. My critical thinking and common sense can become my downfall as I struggle to know where my loyalties lie, the world or scripture. It's frustrating because I want to align my desires with God's interests but my mind wavers because although I'm convinced that God is sufficient, my actions tend to follow what will make me succeed in earthly matters.

26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
When I am uncomfortable or can become too excited I usually resort to the words I feel the most emotional attachments to. None of these words leave a proper impression of God as I can leave a tainted image of not just myself but also of God.
