Acts 26

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” 29 Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains                                                                                                                        For the worldly mindset, it is considered stupid to risk so much to gain what can give us so little to no materialistic comfort. Paul was concerned more for the eternal fate of unbelievers more than the chains around his wrists. It is this attitude that we should strive for and the very reason why he's known for being the worlds greatest missionary.
Ironically, Jae-won sent me a verse today. Romans 8:5-9. This verse as well solidifies the necessity to acknowledge God has our highest priority in order to serve him correctly. This definitely attacks me because i've put so much of my worth in people, I mentally strive off socialising and banter. If we keep meditating on worldly things, we become like the world, but if we otherwise do the same for God then we become more Christlike. If i'm to expect to be effective for God like Paul, i must throw away my materialistic ambitions.
