Acts 12
(12) When this had dawned on him, he went to the house of Mary the mother of John, also called Mark, where many people had gathered and were praying.
God calls us to not rely on our rely ability when life goes good or bad but to always submit to call on God.
(23) Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
Pride is a serious sin. Pride is us being satisfied in ourselves and achievements rather than giving God the glory. Thou shall have no other God's before me (Deuteronomy 5:6)
