Philippians 1

Paul tells the Philippians that he's grateful to call them fam in Christ and that he always prays for them. He reminds the Church that God is in control and even though he faces many obstacles such as prison or pharisees etc, God always finds a way for the gospel to be advanced. Paul actually didn't panic when competitive/jealous preachers came into practise because at least more and more people were knowing Jesus through their ministry. While the intentions may not be selfless like an evangelist should be, the gospel message was spread nonetheless. Paul did not preach to make himself popular or famous but because wanted to be a selfless ambassador of God and the message many have not received. Paul ends the chapter with further encouragement that they push through suffering with the trust that Christ is supremely valuable above everything. They are to stand firm in the gospel/
