Paul writes this letter because he's pissed. The Galatians easily allowed themselves to be influenced by teachers who claimed to be from God, but preached a legalistic heresy. They attempted to discredit Paul, and were successful with some members. Paul considers anyone who preaches anything other than that of the grace of King Jesus to be accursed. I don't particularly remember Paul being so aggressive as to "curse" someone lol. Paul submitted under God before he would any man, knowing that souls were at stake, and thus defended the gospel message vigorously. For some reason, the chapter takes a turn from talking about the issues at hand. Paul recalls how when he became a Christian, he didn't consult with the og apostles but instead travelled to Arabia for 3 years(to learn more/evangelise i think???) and then visited Peter in Jerusalem for 15 days. The other apostle Paul spoke to was Jesus brother James.
Prayer/response:
- Defend the gospel
- be more intentional in prayer
