Hoses 3

Goner having drowned herself in adultery, God commanded Hosea to go back to her and to love her. This is the type of love that I call scandalous as it seems so unreasonable in my mind. Despite this Hosea went the extra mile to buy her back when he could've just claimed her since they were already in a legal binding ceebs lol.

Verse 5 seems to reference Christ's 2nd coming??? Seems to be a trend to call the Messiah "David" in some Old Testament prophecies idk. Also "they shall fear the Lord and His goodness" reminds me of John 14:15 "if you love me you will keep My commandments." I reckon this is a call for continual repentance, seeking a right relationship with God that isn't motivated purely out of fear but also adoration. There will be no restoration unless we turn back to the Lord.

Prayer/response:
- Sydney has turned it's back on you. If it be your will, let there be revival
- Daniel Chung commit to a church and grow in you
- Help me love the way you want me to
