9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.
Of course I'll continue to sin because I've already been tainted since birth, but when I do sin I would express sincere remorse about my wrongdoing. An indicator of my salvation is that I try to avoid certain scenarios that would trigger me into lustful thoughts, however I don't try hard enough to have truthful fellowship with the Body.
