2 Thessalonians 3


(11) We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. (12) Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.
Sometimes I can get so caught up in my self-hatred that I push everyone away and enter a stage of isolation that can either be short or long lasting. This can prevent my spiritual growth and possibly discourage the people around me. While there is a period this year in which I believe progress was made in my spiritual journey, this type of activity should not be continuous. If I am part of the body of Christ then I am supposed to contribute to the Church whether it be prayers or spiritual gifts, and I won't be very effective for God's kingdom if I continue to separate myself from people.
