1 Corinthians 6

1 If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?
As Christians, we are meant to look for spiritual advice/wisdom rather than turning to someone who doesn't know God, as they could prioritise worldly views that could further separate us from from Scriptural discipline.

12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
People believe that  because their sins have been forgiven, they can do what they want with their bodies since they could be forgiven consistently. People think they have the freedom to do what they want but are instead slaves to their sinful nature. We should be careful the luxuries God has given us to take pleasure  and make sure it doesn't develop into something in which it becomes a sinful habit.
