Exodus 32, John 11, Proverbs 8, Ephesians 1

It's interesting for me to notice that Moses appealed for not just God's honour, but also His glory to be revealed to the nations as a motivation to not destroy Israel.

Moses is a model mediator, a man who sympathises with God and makes no excuses for the people he leads but at the same time identifies with them and loves them. He'd rather be wiped out with them rather than God create a new race for Himself.

Exodus 31, John 10, Proverbs 7, Galatians 6

I hope to be more intention in fasting. Whatever a man sows he will reap but I struggle so much in persistence in prayer. Still grateful that God's given me a passion for continuous scriptural reading and study, can't ignore that my life is blameless in that area. Galatians 6:7 just reminds me that I must be sure my life is right with God before giving spiritual advice to others. If i should boast, it should be of that in which the Lord has done in me, not my personal accomplishments.

Exodus 30, John 9, Proverbs 6, Galatians 5

Those who "see" with all their principles and sophisticated minds are blinded by what Jesus says and does. those who are "blind", the moral and spiritual equivalent of the man in this chapter who is born blind, to these Jesus displays wonderful compassion, and even gives sights.

Those who are confident of their ability to see do not ask for sight. So (implicitly) they remind blind, with the culpable blindness of smug self-satisfaction. There are non so blind as those who do not know they are blind.

Exodus 29, John 8, Proverbs 5, Galatians 4

John 8 reminds me of Matthew 10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." Jesus is so offensive that the world hates him. Jesus says "because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me".

Exodus 28, John 7, Proverbs 4, Galatians 3

To those who wore the Ephod, they carried the weight of their nation when they present themselves before God. This chapter kinda scary cause God was so precise in how He wanted everything to be made, there could be 0 shortcuts. I would not want to piss Him off knowing that He's so strict about some garments.

The Suffering Servant in Isaiah 53

The Suffering Servant The same god who wrote the new testament wrote the old testament, that’s the way I see it from Isaiah 53. I am a Chris...
